The filet was rocking good, and the onion rings were the perfect topper. Start off with the Ahi. There might not be an ocean anywhere near close, but you will still be happy with that choice!

Wilder’s is arguably the best restaurant in Joplin, Missouri. Wilder’s specialty is hand cut steaks, which I highly recommend but the other entree’s are also first rate! Go with the Atlantic cold water lobster tail served with locally farmed, freshly drawn butter and they’ve got amazing seafood appetizers. We usually get the gently seared ahi tuna which is a beautiful purple and looks fresh out of the Tokyo fish market and our favorite the jumbo maple bacon grilled scallops which come in three’s so get ready for a fight at the table over that last one. I’ve never had room for desert, but they do make a damn fine vodka martini. Wilder’s has an upscale classic restaurant atmosphere giving it that warm back in the good old days feel.
